Every recycling possibility is closely examined. Examples of active recycling include the donation of sawdust, a natural by-product of our workshop operations, to a local farmer for use as animal bedding, as well as fertilizer.
All our RDF stationery is produced from recycled materials, and a shredding operation ensures that all waste paper generated by RDF is despatched for recycling. Used printer cartridges are also passed on to the RSPB, who are able to convert them into funds to aid their own worthy environmental programmes.
In recognition of the need to reduce our Carbon Footprint, RDF and its associates have a commitment to reduce emissions to the absolute minimum throughout every phase of their operation. In line with this policy, timber is only purchased from sustainable sources. Any waste timber is isolated into timber only skips, and all recycling possibilities are examined. RDF also insists on only using environmentally responsible waste carriers for the disposable of any non-recyclable by-products.
Currently we are investigating the use of a biomass boiler that is fuelled by timber off-cuts or renewable fuel, as well as considering the use of LPG-driven vehicles.
All new suppliers and products are thoroughly vetted to ensure compliance with established environmental policies.
IT & Data ManagementRDF building services is committed to the regular upgrading and expanding of our IT systems.
All RDF vehicles are equipped with satellite navigation to maximise efficiency in locating sites.
Access to RDF server installations is now available from any location world-wide through use of the latest wireless notebook technology. Additionally, our computer system is fully covered by an external IT maintenance contract, ensuring the minimum of potential loss of communication or disruption.
General AdministrationRDF has full-time office based support staff available to fulfil all administration support, purchasing and accounts requirements. All incoming enquiries are immediately responded to by our highly efficient and experienced administration team. The calls are efficiently filtered and directed promptly to the relevant department.
Information is stored on the main RDF server, and is accessible by designated staff members who ensure that all documentation is regularly updated.
