Network Rail (NR) has outlined plans to create a high-speed rail line from London to Scotland costing £34 billion.
Commuters will be able to arrive in Scotland in just over two hours from London with train speeds reaching 200mph.

Friday, October 9th, 2009One of the Birmingham Alliance developers has sold its one-third stake in the Birmingham Bullring retail complex to an Australian fund.

Carillion closes Durham schools deal
Friday, October 9th, 2009Carillion has sealed a £500 million contract to build nearly 14 new schools and remodel 30 more in Durham under the Building Future Schools programme.
The construction giant will work on 44 secondary and special schools across the county, leading the Inspired Spaces consortium.
