Managers invited to green conference

Healthcare managers responsible for green energy have been invited to attend a sustainable energy conference in Liverpool in October.

The inaugural Green Power Forum (GPF) will take place at the city’s new BT Convention Centre on October 15.

GPF chairman Mark McManus explained that the event aimed to spread the latest knowledge, learning and expertise in renewable, low carbon and sustainable energy technologies.

It is specifically targeting professionals responsible for making hospitals, clinics, homes and communities greener.

These include architects, housing associations, consultants, engineers, developers, energy managers, facilities managers as well as local authorities.

The green technologies being examined will cover heating, hot water, ventilation, lighting and electricity generation.

Mr McManus explained: “The GPF’s stimulating programme is designed to give clear practical advice and instruction. All delegates will receive six hours of CPD training – one sixth of the professional annual entitlement.

“Both the public and private sector are under enormous pressure to become more energy efficient and find environmentally friendly alternative forms of heating and power. This is where the GPF comes in providing best practice advice and training in going green.”
