A program of redevelopment across various city centre sites was discussed with the client which took into account budget constraints, timescales and priority works. RDF negotiated with the client and agreed a plan to complete the works.
This involved repairs to existing fencing & surface finishes, regeneration of existing sites through the upgrading of lighting & installation of new fencing and development by creating a new 8 person office within one of the covered sites.
The electrical works included the design, wiring and installation of new LED flood light style fittings, the conversion of existing fittings to LED and power & data installations for ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) systems to be installed. The entry & exit barriers, the security office and pay stations needed to have power, data & lighting installed so that they could all communicate with each other whilst also being able to send & receive information from the head office. The car park had to be carefully excavated to allow the ducting to be carefully installed so that cabling could be routed.
Development works to the sites included replacement fire doors, new fencing, installation of drainage and replacement of the existing surface coverings.
A new office was also formed within one location which included the overall construction of the office including power, data, drainage for WC & cooking facilities as well as decorations and flooring works.
All of these works were completed in phases whilst the sites remained live to ensure revenue income for the client was maximised throughout the upgrading works. A carefully planned programme of works ensured that the client and their staff were aware when the works were to be undertaken in the various areas.
“Having worked with RDF on a number of projects in the last 6 months I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them as I have found them to be helpful, flexible and professional in all of our dealings together.”
