Listed Hotel is transformed with new boutique rooms

Project Description

The White Lion Hotel was a tired, dilapidated, Listed Building that needed major structural and cosmetic repairs to be undertaken just to continue trading in the poor state that it had been allowed to get into however the RDF refurbishment transformed it into something new.

The hotel underwent a major restoration and upgrading project including a full electrical rewire, new heating system and bespoke catering kitchen. The main trading area, restaurant and snug were all rejuvenated with the existing details being complimented and highlighted. The rooms were taken back to the existing structure, alterations to walls and the general configuration were made before they were fitted out as boutique rooms complete with en suites consisting of walk in showers and roll top baths.

Luxury now comes as standard.

“The refurbishment of the White Lion Hotel, Hebden Bridge has been a very enjoyable experience. All the employees of RDF and associated contractors have behaved and performed impeccably, and in addition, were a pleasure to work with on a daily basis. The finished result looks fantastic.

The scheduling of works was very efficient, and to complete this project on the tight timescales was an achievement within itself!

The whole building has been transformed and elevated to create a superb pub and hotel. I am very thankful to all who have contributed to the project, and in turn have created a superb start to my new business venture.”  Michael Grimes, General Manager
