The Project – Lockside
The University required the reorganisation and redesign of several rooms within different areas of one building. Once the rooms had been fully redesigned in their layout the finishing of these rooms was also required.
The works involved the alteration of existing walls, windows and door openings to create new rooms and offices that were to be ready in time for the students return to this grade II listed part of the University.
Working within a live University Campus within different areas , over several floors, a phased programme for the works and additional works being uncovered and added as the project progressed. All these items formed part of a robust strategic team approach to ensure that this project was delivered on time.
In order to deliver the project the works were meticulously programmed in to clearly show the University and the entire project team when works would be completed in certain areas thus reducing disturbance and interference to staff, students and users alike.
The University’s project manager was delighted with the finished product but moreover that the project was delivered on time and within budget.
