Grade II Listed Head of Steam opens for Crucible

Project Description

The grade II listed Old Monk in Sheffield underwent a major refurbishment to turn it into a new Head of Steam for Camerons Brewery. The project was completed in time to open for the World Championship Snooker that is being held at the Crucible.

The site, that overlooks the Crucible, has been fully transformed with a new bar, food offering and, of course, an excellent choice of beers from across the world.

This interior has a playful, urban and industrial feel that contrasts yet complements the Grade II listed building in which it is housed.

With it’s vast ceiling height we were able to install bespoke chandeliers into the space as well as bespoke digital murals that highlight the inspiration behind the scheme.
