Following on from our continual improvement through the successful achievement and ongoing accreditation to ISO 9001-2015. Ashleigh Webster said “We are delighted to have achieved RoSPA Silver award, particularly as this is my first year as SHEQ Coordinator at RDF Building. The award demonstrates our commitment to achieving the highest standards of health and safety management across all our projects, helping to confirm our place as Principle Contractor”.

We are all very proud of this award, along with all our other SSIP accreditations and awards, which wouldn’t be possible without our employee’s enthusiasm and diligence. A huge thank you goes to our Health and Safety team along with every other member of staff, who assisted in gaining this award through their hard work and dedication.

Extensive ground stabilisation works of the site near the river Humber have been completed, which has allowed the construction of the new 1,500 m sq retail unit to continue.

Once the site was cleared and the levels established the excavation and stabilisation works could be undertaken.

Concrete piles and an attenuation system have been designed & installed to meet with the demands of the site.

The project is well underway and further progress photos will follow.

New craft Gin, Rum & Tequilla bar opened in Harrogate

The Tap on Tower Street is the brilliant new offering that has come from the dated Tap & Spile.

The funky interior design is complimented by the many different craft & real ales to try onsite or if you feel the need take away via the bottle bar and/or takeaway service that the site offers.

A plethora of Gins, Rums, Tequilas and Mescals are on offer for anybody wanting to try something new, different or hard to find. There is a large selection of board games located on bespoke shelving throughout the property to keep the customers amused and interested.

A full internal refurbishment including electrical alterations, new flooring, bespoke shelving, furniture and signage were all completed within budget. The external areas have new seating and smoking areas so that the building can still be enjoyed no matter what the weather.

It [frame]works!

It [frame]works!

“We are delighted to extend our framework agreement for a further 24 months. Continuing our cost effective and positive working relationship with RDF.”

We are proud that our customers not only use us but continue to use us which is evidenced by the successful continuation of various frameworks, some going into their 4th & 5th years.

Pre-planned, preventative & reactive maintenance, asset management, cyclical statutory testing and project work have, and continue to be successfully completed, across all sectors by all of our in-house trades.

The renewal of these many frameworks is testament to RDF’s ethos of partnering with our clients to ensure a single, united goal.

The Myrtle Tavern in Meanwood has been transformed during a blisteringly fast refurbishment – 21 days from design briefing to serving drinks!

The site has been rejuvenated with a traditional ‘cosy’ vibe that has, due to the locality of the cricket pitch, a minor sport theme infused within the design.

The bespoke corky ball and wicket screens are complemented by the cricket bat balustrade as well as the signed memorabilia that is positioned within the main bar. The clean stonework and oak flooring lead you to the new, ‘old’ back bar with its many tantalising spirits tastefully displayed under the new copper lighting.

New cosy pockets and corners have been created to allow customers to enjoy the space in a way that they could not before.

Towering success

Towering success

The Towers, a grade II Listed building, was conserved, restored and repaired over a number of months by RDF specialists.

The building, that was built for the governor of Armley jail in 1871, has a mixture of natural stone and reconstituted artstone.

Stone was quarried specifically for the works with masons carving each piece of stone by hand to ensure a perfect match to the piece that it was due to be replaced.

Casts were taken of the heavily deteriorated balustrade and lion details which had to then be painstakingly re-fabricated and carved offsite to allow a mold to be created. Casts were then taken from the molds, the new artstone pieces produced, cleaned up and installed onsite.

The building was fully repointed prior to the existing rainwater pipes and metalwork being overhauled with sections being replaced as required.

Delicate timber repairs were undertaken onsite and also in the RDF workshop to rejuvenate the existing timber work present onsite before being redecorated.

All the works were discussed and agreed with the local Conservation Officer through detailed onsite discussions prior to them being completed.
